Message about Congregation's Pastoral Care this Fall
The following is a message from Joseph (Joey) Purcell about our congregation's pastoral care this fall and our vacancy Pastor, Jonathan Schultz:
As most of us know, our Pastor and brother in Christ, Chester Reinemann, has been battling a cancer diagnosis since the summer. The Reinemann family has endured many medical visits, treatment consultations and a major surgery in the last months.
Chester has mostly recovered from the surgery and now an immunotherapy treatment plan has been established to begin. You may have noticed, as I have, that the Spirit has empowered Chester to model incredible faith and patience through what is a difficult season. As a congregation, we continue to pray for healing and comfort. Part of our care for Pastor is giving him time to focus on his treatment and recovery. We are thankful that we can continue to support Pastor Reinemann with full salary and benefits as he takes three-months of medical leave.
Last week, we called Pastor Jonathan Schultz to fill a role as our temporary vacancy Pastor. Praise the Lord that we are blessed to have a local retired Pastor willing to serve our church family full time! We are members of a group of churches called WELS-Canada, and we are so thankful that WELS-Canada directors have voted to send us financial support so we could call and pay a vacancy pastor. Pastor Schultz isn't just a guest preacher, he will be serving our flock in any way Pastor Chester would. This will last until at least December 31, 2026, and may be extended if needed for additional treatment and recovery.
During this time, please direct any Pastoral questions or emergency calls to Pastor Schultz. If you aren't sure who to contact, feel free to reach out to Byron, Joseph, Marcus or Rebecca.
A list of contact information for this season at our church is here:

Remember, we are brothers and sisters together in Christ, so please reach out.
- Joey Purcell (Church Council)
